This 1963 Jaguar XKE is a left-hand-drive Series I coupe that is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over tan leather. Additional equipment includes triple SU carburetors, inboard rear disc brakes, glass headlight covers, and chrome knock-off wire wheels. The car is believed to have spent time in Mexico prior to a refurbishment performed in Texas, where it remained with the same owner for over two decades. Services performed since the selling dealer’s recent acquisition include an oil change, a fuel pump rebuild, and replacement of the steering rack boots. This Series I XKE is now offered by the selling dealer in Missouri with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and a clean Texas title that lists the car as a 1964 model.

Originally finished in Opalescent Silver Blue, the body was reportedly disassembled and repainted in its current shade of red during the refurbishment performed in approximately 2000, at which time the glass and weatherstripping was replaced. Exterior features include glass headlight covers, a Talbot-style driver-side mirror, split chrome bumpers with guards, a vented hood, and a sloping tail with a side-hinged hatch. A paint correction was performed in preparation for the sale, and the selling dealer notes pitting in the chrome bumpers.

Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The car rides on four-wheel independent suspension, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The selling dealer reports that the tires and wheels were mounted in approximately 2020, and the steering rack boots were replaced in preparation for the sale.

The interior was originally trimmed in red and is said to have been overhauled during the aforementioned refurbishment, which included reupholstering the twin bucket seats in tan leather, as well as replacement of the headliner and carpeting. Equipment includes lap belts, a padded armrest, toggle switches, pop-out rear vent windows, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo.

The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel is equipped with an E-Type-branded horn button and sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while a quartet of auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, fewer than 100 of which were added by the selling dealer. The clock is currently inoperative.

The 3.8-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Services performed in preparation for the sale include an oil change, a carburetor adjustment, a rebuild of the fuel pump, and a spin-on oil filter conversion.

The cylinder head stamping RA 4507-9 matches the engine number listed on the chassis identification plate in the engine bay.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a manufacture date of December 5, 1963, as well as the original colors and identification numbers.
