889076 was purchased in 1989 from a long time friend in the chicago area
that had owned it since 1968. It was very original, a little shabby but very solid and during the restoration, done by my son and I in1991-93, no major body work was required. The car was restored as a show car/driver around the then JCNA Class 16 rules.
We were very pleased to win the Class 16 National Championship 96,97, 99 & 00 with a 2nd in 98.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
