Sellers comment:
describing this car, I am truly at a loss for words. Beautiful does not begin to cover it. Exhilarating comes close. I think stunning comes the closest to capturing this gem. I am listing this car for a friend who is selling it only with great reluctance. He has owned several E-types over the years and thinks this has been his favorite, and If I had the money, I would by it myself and move into the garage!
Externally, the car is wonderful. The paint (original color opalescent blue)is about three years old and just glows like the edge of a knife. The bumpers and much of the brightwork have been re-chromed and they just sparkle, too. The windshield seal is new, as are the door seals, window seals, and quarter window seals. There is evidence of prior damage to the lower bonnet, and the left rear quarter, but nothing major. The car is excercised on a regular basis, so there are some MINOR rock chips. I could find no rust, and the floors are solid. The interior was recently redone, and features a Motolita steering wheel.

A couple of the toggle switches need replacing.
Mechanically, the car is nearly flawless. The original (I believe) 3.8 liter motor positively sings, although the carbs could do with a little fine-tuning. The brakes have been overhauled with new calipers, lines, and mastercylinder so she stops as well as she goes. The factory shop manual is included.

hi. I think the car looks lovely but what a shame it doesnt have its original bucket seats. I believe it now has seats from a later 4.2, perhaps I am wrong. Richard
