    Current bid US $5,000.00
Reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. 60k miles.

    Sellers description:
1964 Jaguar E-Type. Series 1 FHC Left Hand Drive. 3.8, Moss Box 4 Speed. Sand exterior/ Black Interior. SERIAL NUMBER 888315. CLEAR TITLE. 33 Years in storage. Driven into barn in 1981 by second owner and left there until now. 100% complete except for heater fan and heater core and keys. Sold in North Carolina to original owner.

Pictures show everything you need to know. This is an incredible car for restoration. No wrecks ever. The monocoque is in good condition except for the floors, lower front bonnet and rockers have some rot. There is not one dent on the entire car. ALL trim is in incredible condition except for a slight tweak to the passenger headlight trim ring. Interior is all there. I have the spare wire rim, jack, upper door panels, door panel chrome trim and front bumper. Front bumper is straight as an arrow with all hardware/bolts attached.

The original owner repaired the floors at some point. They were not done to spec, but served the purpose for many years. This and and electric fuel pump and the Black paint over the original Sand paint are the only non-original parts/aspects of the car. Pictures show original Sand paint under the hood. You can also see Sand paint on some body panels where respray has come off.

Not one bolt has been touched on this car since it was parked in 1981 except for bolts holding down seats, which were removed in order to document condition of floors and removal of rear wheels to replace tubes in tires for rolling/loading/etc... I have not tried to crank the engine or turn over by hand. The car was driven into the barn and turned off by the second owner who I am in touch with.

I purchased this car on the 7th March 2015 from a company called Imports and Restorations based in Finland, the car was imported from the USA to the UK through Southampton port. The company I purchased the car from had a very convincing web site, land line numbers and supplied all the title documents, shipping documents etc. I paid £16,000 Sterling for the car, the money was transferred in to a UK TSB bank account. The car was not delivered. The fraud department are now investigating this. Please do not make the same mistake as me.
We have bought many cars over the phone, this was serious lesson, will not do it again

www.axvallclassics.com/ Is a scam website portraying themselves to import, sale and restore classic cars.
They provide contracts of sales, import duty documentation, and request 10 % deposit and the remainder once the car is shipped. The cars are stated as shipping to Southampton, but they disappear on delivery day. They operate out of Uk but are actually saying they are from Sweden.
DO NOT HAND OVER ANY MONEY, IF IT IS A CHEAP CLASSIC IT IS FAKE, DO NOT TAKE THE GAMBLE AND BUY OVER THE PHONE.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
