DETAILS:
Only 2,079 1963 E-Type coupes were sold world wide – this 1963 coupe is one of the few remaining ones available. This was the last year for the 3.8 liter engine.
I purchased the car in 1982. In 1989 I stopped driving the car due to extensive work related commitments and kept it stored in my heated garage. Although the E-type is part of the permanent collection of influential 20th century works at New York’s Museum of Modern Art I grew tired of only looking at my car. In the spring of 1999, I hired a Jaguar specialist to complete a ground-up restoration in order to bring the car back to original new condition. This restoration is documented and the restorer is available by phone or e-mail if required. My car was returned to me on February 23rd, 2000 with 76,293 miles on the odometer. One of the prior owners replaced the bonnet with a fiberglass bonnet in order to make the car lighter.
Since the 2000 restoration, I have put on less than 2,400 miles on my car. The chassis, cylinder head, gearbox and body numbers all match to the vehicle plate and the Certificate of Authenticity from Jaguar/Daimler Heritage Trust dated July 8, 1999 (included in the sale of my car along with the owner’s manual). I do not have sufficient evidence to state that the odometer reading is the actual miles on the car but I strongly believe that is the case.
Car has been lovingly restored to original new condition. It is like having a brand new car that you can no longer buy. You will realize the reasons Jaguar was winning race circuits during the early 1960’s when you physically drive the car (and why the North American car market scrambled to compete by building the muscle cars of the mid 1960’s). It is powerful and handles very well at high speeds – amazing considering this is 1963 technology. Good luck on your bidding – someone will be very, very happy.
TITLE: The car comes with a clear title.

Benzin
Erstzulassung:
07/1964
Fahrzeugbeschreibung:
