Jaguar XKE Roadster, series 1, 1964.

Unveiling the ultimate XKE Roadster, series 1, 1964, one of the most desirable models as it was designed to be!

This 40 year old virgin, hurt after she dropped a timing chain when she was only 2 years old and left alone after the head was taken off.

After a while the car was pushed outside where it was left to subject to the elements. It has only 22,000 miles, matching numbers, original paint and interior. Since 1989 it was put in dry storage.

This is the story of this XKE Roadster. A total restoration project, completely untouched and original to the last bolt and nut. Needs extensive rust repair on the bottom and sills, the best restoration object for the whole-souled enthusiast. Again, the car needs full restoration, if done right, the result will be a beautiful undisturbed XKEtype Roadster, series 1.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
