All major panels on the tub that need replacing have been completed, all that needs to be done is some repair patches making up, I have tried to leave as much original panels on as possible, I have'nt looked at the bonnet yet!! I'll have to let my bank balance grow a little fist.

Hi Mike

I was just browsing XKE data for the car with the nearest chassis number to mine (888007) and turned up yours. How's the restoration going?

I'm located in Whitchurch, Shropshire just a few miles from you.

Hi Stuart , nice to see a close 'brother' of my Etype , looks nice in blue , my resto is coming along not as fast as I'd like , still waiting for a paint job , been working on the interior , was missing quite a lot , nearly there though , afraid we live about 65 miles apart otherwise would have popped round , will keep an eye on yours..cheers Mike

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
