Woul love to trace ownership in USA from delivery to 1990.

Stuart, do you happen to know which state your car resided in, while in the U.S? If it was California you should have a tag with a "J63" attached adjacent to the factory chassis plate. From what I've heard, California performed a major records purge about ten years back, when they updated their systems. Other states had their own methods, so going through motor-vehicle departments may be a wild-goose chase. I would get a Heritage certificate to see where the car was ultimately delivered and take it from there. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Car came from Maryland. I have the heritage certificate, the car was initially exported to New York distributor. I have a document from Maryland with last keepers name.

Hi Stuart - The color of your car is beautiful and exactly what I'm trying to achieve. Anyway you could tell me the paint code that you used? Thanks, Craig

Sorry Craig, this reply is about a year late.
The paint is Jaguar Opalescent Dark Blue. I'm sorry I don't know the code or even the paint supplier - it was all taken care of by the guys that did the work.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
