Ebay item 2/14/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-1963-Jaguar-XKE-Coupe-3-Owner-California-Car-49k- ...
Car has a buy it now price of $55,900 for 9 days. 49k miles.
Sellers description:
Stored in a climate controlled environment since 1983 which was the last year the car was registered and driven. 3 owner Black Plate California car. Matching numbers. Will need to be sorted through after sitting for 30 Years. Mileage is believed to be original although we do not have documentation to verify. Second owner had owned the car since the late 70's and according to him the mileage was original when he purchased and he put it in storage in 1983 until it was sold to the third recently.
A very solid Series 1 XKE. It has been in Northern California since new. The original color appears to have been red and it was resprayed some years ago and still shows very well. We believe the interior color was also changed to it's current red at that time. The car has not been driven since it has been stored. The engine turns freely and will run if hooked up to a fuel source. I have video of the car running as starter fluid is sprayed into the carbs. It is not hooked up to a fuel system and we assume that the carbs will have to be rebuilt after sitting for such a long time.
The body and the interior are both in excellent condition as it has been stored inside since the early 80's. Chrome is still in good condition with no rust or pitting. All body panels appear original and the gaps are excellent as well. Undercarriage is also in original condition.
