Car to be at auction 2/13

    www.bonhams.com/auctions/20924/lot/516/

    Auction description:

7 Feb 2013 16:30 CET Paris, The Grand Palais Cars

    1963 Jaguar Type E Série 1 3.8-Litre Coupé

    Chassis no. 887537

    Engine no. R8862-9

    Registration no. WRT 114A (UK)

We are advised that this Series 1 3.8-litre coupé was sold by Fantasy Junction of Emeryville, California with title stating 'the 17,504 miles reflects the actual mileage...' It should be noted that the car came from Idaho, a state under snow for six months each year, which severely restricts the use of vehicles not specifically designed for such conditions. At time of photographing the odometer reading was 17,582 miles (approximately 28,300 kilometres). A matching-numbers example, the car benefits from a major service undertaken less than 50 kilometres ago and is offered with MoT certificate and UK V5 registration document.

    Estimate: €65,000 - 95,000 £53,000 - 77,000 US$ 85,000 - 120,000

    Seller's description:

    JAGUAR TYPE E Série I.3 8l 1962

    Fixed-head coupé, left-hand drive

    Certificat d'immatriculation français

    Chassis number 887537

    Engine number R 8862-9

    Gearbox number EB 7931 JS

This series 1 3.8 liter coupé was sold by Fantasy Junction of Emeryville, California with title stating ‘the 17, 504 mils reflects the actual mileage…”

It should be noted that the car came from Idaho, a state under snow for six months each year, which severely restricts the use of vehicles not specifically designed for such conditions.

The current owner purchased this car at Bonhams auction Paris on February 2013.

Since acquisition the JAGUAR has been driven regularly. The owner has continued to spare no expense in maintaining it there being bills of file from recognized specialist GT LABEL (near Lille) totaling more than 12 000 €.

The current odometer reading is circa 19,431 miles.

Offered with Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate number 47 701, this JAGUAR 3,8l is only for sale due to the owner having committed to the purchase of another significant car.
