In the classic car industry, there is nothing more exciting than a genuine barn find - which is precisely what is on offer here. We first learned about this solid, matching number, 1962 E Type coupe when we found it in a Texas barn several years ago. Although we managed to purchase two other E Types that had been roommates of 886831 at that time, the owner wasn't quite ready to part with the Opalescent Maroon coupe. We weren't even allowed to peek under the protective blue tarp!
A few days ago our patience was rewarded when we heard from the owner who had retired and moved out of state, and had finally decided to pass this wonderful old car on to someone who could restore it back to its former glory. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a dry, California and Texas car, that is extremely solid and a genuinely straightforward restoration project.
