1963 Series 1 Jaguar XKE Coupe for sale by 2nd owner. 3.8L / 4 speed manual. This is an unrestored, 99% original factory condition car with 48,872 actual miles. My dad purchased this car from the first owner in June of 1966 and the car has been in his possession since. The car was driven occasionally in the summertime between 1966 and 1991 and has been garaged in Denver, CO for the past 30 years. Original paint except for areas of the driver side door and rear quarter panels. Repairs made due to parking lot damage; the car has never been in an accident. Other than having a 1970’s era Am/FM radio with cassette player as far as I know the car is just as it came from the factory. There is a about a 4” x 1” area behind and below the driver’s door that has bubbled and I suspect there is some rust under the paint in that area. As far as I can tell the rest of the car appears to be rust free. The passenger door is slightly out of alignment, I don’t know why. The rest of the gaps appear to be correct. The interior is good but beginning to show its age. The side seam on the driver’s seat has split about 3” and the driver’s side pillar post upholstery is coming loose. The engine and transmission have never been out of the car and are in unrestored, original factory condition.

This car has not been started in 30 years but with a little effort I have no reason to believe it will not start and run. I think it’s best to have a vintage Jaguar mechanic start the car for the first time after it’s been sitting for so many years. I will leave that to the new owner and have adjusted my asking price accordingly. When the car was parked in 1991 it was running and driving nicely.

When viewing the pictures please note that little to no effort was made to make the car more presentable. The car has not been washed or polished in 30 years, the engine compartment and interior have not been touched in 30 years. I rolled it off the transport truck and took pictures of the car the way it arrived in Las Vegas from Denver. The car comes with the correct spare wheel and tire, original tool kit, original Thor knock off hub mallet, jack and owner’s manual.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
