This E was imported to UK IN 1996 , and i purchased it in 1998. It is a Black Plate Callifornia car , which had been unused since the late 70s. and was rust free. It appeared to have had an interesting ? Lakewood C A , based first owner , who i beleive was a FLT lt , Airforce or Navy ? whom i tried very hard to locate , but without success. The car was in the Dana Point area dureing the 1970s , and maybe ? earlier . The Calif Licensing Dept appear to destroy any records over 7 years old, which is a great hardship to anyone who is trying to trace their cars history. Very reluctantly due to circumstances , i sold it to an enthusiast , who is carrying on the cars overhaul.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
