Sellers description:
Hello! Some history on this Jaguar.... My father gave me this Jaguar XKE 2+2 as a high school graduation gift. He bought it in 1974 ( I have the title that was issued from that year ). I rode in the car with my father once in a great while (as I had a problem with the stick shift) from 1975-1978, than it went into storage and has been in storage ever since. My daughters both graduated from school this year (one from high school, one from college), so i feel this is the time to sell this car. My hope is to sell it to someone who will fix it up and enjoy it. My graduation gift to my daughters will be the money received from the sale of this Jaguar.
Comments From Tony Curella
I have inspected this car and will give you my evaulation as I see it. The Jaguar seems to be a all orginal numbered car with I beleive a 3.8 liter engine. The car does not run since Joan's father drove it in the late 1970's. The only visable missing parts are the air cleaner and back tail pipes are in bad shape. The radio in the car is not orginal but the orgnial is there and shown in the picture. The car looks to have been repainted at some point and is showing rust in all the normal places for a Jaguar. This car is sold as is for a total restoration project.
The car was in a professional storage ficility in Hasting, MN called Siebenaler's Storage. Floor rust does not appear to go through (definitely can't see through) although there is one perfectly round, quarter sized hole on each side of the floor. No rust found in spare tire compartment or floor. Here are the Jag's numbers Engnine number: R72339 Car: 886719 Body: V3586 Gear Box: EB5767 US. Also informed is a 3.8 litre engine. It is not a 2+2 but a LHD Fixed Head Coupe
