Ebay item 10/16/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Jaguar-E-Type/303323074261

Current bid: $25,550 reserve not met 7 bids 6 days left in auction, seller 4kidsnomoney, 41k miles, car now said to be in Kennewick, (previously Richland) Washington.

Seller's description:

This 1962 Jaguar Series 1 FHC is Car #886184 and is a great project car that retains its original number matching 3.8L in-line six and Moss 4-speed manual gearbox. Originally finished in Opalescent Gunmetal with a Red interior per the Heritage certificate. The car was refinished in January 1980 in Jaguar dark Regency Red paint and shortly after that the interior was redone in black. The car is intact and mostly complete and original as shown. The body is solid with straight lines and panel and door fitment and without any evidence of previous repair work. The floors, sills, and doors are solid as is the undercarriage. This car is a 'roller' last driven in 1989 by the current owner before its long-term storage awaiting a restoration. The engine turns over freely by hand after adding oil to all cylinders. Hydraulic clutch in not functional and only the handbrake is working at this time. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate document and a clear and clean WA state title are in hand.

Seller's description:

1962 Jaguar XKEFixed Head Coupe This rare and highly collectible 1962 Jaguar XKE Series I Fixed Head Coupe with matching numbers (Heritage Certificate included) was built on June 5th, 1962. This is a factory opalescent gunmetal example with a red interior. It comes equipped with a manual transmission, covered headlights, triple SU carburetors and wire wheels. This is an excellent original West Coast car with a lot of potential. Early E-Types are getting harder and harder to find. Don't miss out on this one.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
