Philippe wrote the following text to the E-Type mailing list descibing this car:

Hi Steve

I saw this car in 2002 when I was looking for an E .
I just posted some more pictures on xkedata.com:

- the engine (the one I posted previously was uncorrect and should be replaced by the new one where you can read E-Type in yellow)
- interior picture : alluminium and white interior
- view from the rear of the car: with S1 tail lights but strange red lights below the chromes for a S1.
- and have look at the window wiper on the rear screen...
it is a two color tone because the sills and all parts below incl. rear lower quarters are said to be in aluminium.

If I can remember , the sign on the bonnet was a little leaping jag badge,
behind the leaping jaguar on the bonnet.

A lot of strange combinations that left me a strange feeling about the car altough it almost certainly was rust free and the engine was running well.Could not see papers for more history.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
