Vehicle Description: 1962 E Type Jaguar with 6 cylinder, 3 SU 2bbl carbs. We bought this car before we were married and got much enjoyment out of it before the clutch went out. We parked it and started having kids. It has been parked in and out of our garages for the last 20 years. The previous owner painted it red. It is currently parked inside and we need the space. We are not interested in reconditioning it ourselves. We have based the value on what it would cost someone who wanted to purchase only a few major parts, ie. motor, transmision, and glass etc.
Vehicle Condition: This is a total restoration project car. Everything is there, but needs to either be pulled off and replaced with new, or pulled off and cleaned. The engine ran fine when we parked it, but like everything else, will need to be gone through before it is started. The rocker panel under the old battery location is gone. The rest of the rocker panels have rust on them, but not terrible. Passenger side floorboard is also rusted out, but the rest of the body is in relatively good shape. All the cloth on the interior needs to be replaced as well as the rubber weather gaskets but the glass is all in good condition. The tires all hold air and the vehicle can be rolled onto a trailer for the buyer. But once again we want to make you aware that this is a total project car for the avid classic car enthusiast.
With 2 days and 4 hours left on the auction there have been 17 bids so far to a price of US $4,555.00 (Reserve met)
