Description on eBay by seller: Chevrolet LT-1 Corvette engine was purchased, back in 1974, and treated to a complete blueprint, then expertly installed while leaving the Jag's square tube front subframe intact for that "factory" look. A Series 2 hood was fitted to take advantage of its much larger air intake for improved cooling.
According to a 3-page spec sheet that accompanies the car, internal engine mods include:
Bore cylinder case .060
Polish crank
Pin fit pistons and rods
Balance complete engine assembly
Flash grind block
Relieve oil holes
Install TRW 11:1 pistons
TRW Clevite 77 rod & main bearings
CLOYES double roller timing chain
BERGMAN blueprinted Z28 oil pump and screen
GENERAL KINETICS camshaft, 486 int./exh. lift, 300 duration GENERAL KINETICS lfters Z28 pushrods
Blueprinted cylinder heads, surfaced .020
3-angle valve grind
Ports matched and unshrouded
Z28 Valve springs

Ebay item 4/8/08 cu.in. LT-1 powerhouse was dyno-tested at 416 h.p.
Relocated metal bulkhead behind the seats 5 inches to the rear! To further improve the situation, Hector Larios retooled a special pair of Porsche seats. Following this surgery, your average 6'2" American Big & Tall customer is now able to easily fit inside the Jag without having to hold his breath!
Dash top is covered with genuine suede. A hand-hammered alloy cover hides the close ratio MUNCIE M-22 4-speed trannny. The equally impressive dash displays factory SMITHS gauges and toggle switches on unpainted aluminum and copper. Tough MOTOLITA leather steering wheel looks just right, too.
huge racing fuel cell that surely is big enough for endurance events. How does 25 gallons sound?
Fortunately, this 46 year-old Jaguar always resided in California, escaping the dreaded demon rust. It certainly helps that the car spent its life in a nice garage and--according to its former owner--has only covered 39,645 actual miles.

The upper frame rails do indeed seem cut..as the SBC motor is too wide and the exhaust routes exactly where the top rails are...or were.
