Returns to ebay 12/29/03
Sellers comment:
This is a very rare 1961 flat floor FHC. There were only 386 of these cars made and this is one of the last 1961 FHC. This was a Calif car all of its life being bought new in the bay area of Calif and has spent its life there. This jaguar is 100% complete with no parts missing. The car does run and drive but should have a complete restoration done. The wire wheels have just been respoked with new tires mounted on them. All of the chrome is in above average condition. The car does have the original radio. If you are going to restore a FHC jaguar, this is the one to do. This car is being offered only one time on ebay and if not sold, our shop is going to do a 100 point restoration on this very rare car. If the buyer wishes, we can complete any type of work they wish on the car. We have been doing jaguars for over 30 years and take great pride in the quality of workmanship that we are known for. This car does not have any rust in the floors or sills which is very rare. There is a small amount in the left rear wheel arch area. Our shop has checked the car for any type of body filler and was not able to find any. The bonnet is in excellent condition and all seams are straight and door gaps are good with no sag. We have not seen a 1961 jag like this for sell in many years. These early cars are getting harder and harder to locate. With this jag being one of the last 1961 models made, it makes it the right one to restore. This car is correct with all matching numbers which makes it a great XKE to own. This Jaguar is 42 years young and needs a complete restoration. There is some rust on the left wheel arch area. The car is 100% complete.

Sellers description:
This is a very rare 1962 flat floor E-type. This particular car was one of the last ones made. The Vin# is 885279 Body# V1346, Engine# R 3023-9 and Gear Box# EB2138JS. This is a matching number car. This is a very straight, rust free car that was purchased new in Calif. and has spent its entire life in Napa Calif. The car does run and drive. All glass and chrome are good and this car is complete. The wheels have been rebuilt and trued by British Wire Wheel. The car has its original AM radio. These cars are getting extremely hard to find especially a nice, rust free example as this one. This car would be an easy restoration project and its value would be between 50K-60K when restored. This car does not appear to have ever had any body damage. The original color was red with black interior. This car does run and drive but should have all mechanical components checked. Our shop has been doing quality restoration work with over 30 years experience and could assist buyer if desired. If you are looking for an FHC to restore, this is the year and the car to do.
