Ebay item 2/20/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-I-Jaguar-E-Type-1964-3-8-Litre-Open-Two-Se ...
Current bid US $15,100, no reserve, 16 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This is a true Series I that started the legend. This is a matching number car. The date on the block reads as follows 25/3/64, which would mean it was made on March 25th, 1964. Although some of the later 3.8 E-types had synchro gear boxes this one does not. It has the Moss gear box. This car will run and drive anywhere right now. It starts right up. After it is warmed up the oil pressure runs between 35 and 40 p.s.i. A new clutch was put in about a year ago. The brakes all around are in good shape. All the mechanicals i.e. lights, indicator, horn etc. work. At present there are no pressing needs. The bonnet lines up nicely. There are some chips in the paint.
As far as the body goes the floor pans and where the bonnet hinges are in excellent condition.
The seats, the door panels and center console are in nice condition.

The block stamped number does NOT indicate the date the car was made. There were NO 3.8 Ltr motors that came factory equipped with the full synchromesh, This was confirmed by the Heritage Trust transmission serial numbers. Please stop with the inaccurate information.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
