This car sold at the January 2011 Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, for $70,000 plus the ridiculous 10% "BJ" buyers fee. Total purchase price $77,000. Very nice car, and a good deal due to the current economic conditions.

This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that is said to have been refurbished by two judges from the Jaguar Clubs of North America in 2010, subsequently spending time in Oklahoma and British Columbia before it was acquired by the selling dealer in January 2020. The car is finished in maroon with a black soft top over a tan leather interior, and power comes from a 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a replacement four-speed manual transmission. This Series I XKE is offered in Arizona with a Washington State title. Bodywork and a repaint in Imperial Maroon were reportedly performed on this example by a JCNA judge before reassembly by a fellow judge in 2010.

Chrome 15” knock-off wire wheels wear 205/70 Dunlop SP40 tires, with a matching spare mounted under the trunk floor. The black soft top stows beneath a matching cover when down and can be seen raised and lowered in photos.

The cabin is trimmed in Biscuit leather with matching carpets and features fixed-back bucket seats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, Smiths instrumentation, a passenger-side grab handle, and tan floor mats. Just under 85k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, with total mileage unknown.

The twin-cam 3.8L inline-six features triple SU carburetors and is said to have been rebuilt during the 2010 work, though supporting records are unavailable. Cylinder head stamping RA6726–9 matches the chassis tag viewable in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a replacement Moss four-speed manual transmission with synchromesh that was reportedly sourced from a later 4.2-liter car.
