We offer you one of the coveted and rare Series 1 OTS (Open Two Seater) with 3.8 ltr. engine in absolute concours condition.
Restored to the highest standard with matching numbers & matching colours.
The chassis no., engine no. & gearbox no. exactly match the verified Heritage certificate. As an investment, as a reliable classic, to drive yourself or as a century design object to own.
This E Type was born on 23 January 1964 and had exactly this color combination Opalescent Golden Sand / Interior Beige and soft top in French Grey.
The colour combination fits perfectly, looks stunning and is rare to find. Authentic, classy, sporty and cool.
Then shipped to the USA, New York. America loved the E Type . Almost 70% of the left-hand drive E Type was sold to the USA, especially the roadsters (OTS).
In 2022 we found this E Type in incredibly good condition and in unrestored condition. With matching numbers, a very solid body and all the important chrome add-on parts. This is very important for a perfect overall appearance after the restoration. The reason: these parts, headlight rings, front and rear bumpers and the rear lights were already adapted to the body at the factory during production of the E-Type. Reproduced parts exist, but they never really fit. The E-Type was shipped to us in Europe and the nut & bolt bare metal restoration began.
We took every single bolt in our hands, opened up all the cavities, professionally cut out the body panels that could not be repaired and replaced them with new ones. Here, great importance was attached to working exactly like the Jaguar factory in 1964. All spot welds are correct, every detail is in its correct place and only tin was used instead of body filler for levelling the surfaces. A technique that only a few specialists still master and use today. The gap dimensions and the surfaces, the flat body panels speak for themselves. Two coats of clear lacquer have been applied and additionally ceramic-sealed. The restoration took over 2,000 working hours. After the complete overhaul and before it was installed in the E-Type, the Matching Number engine was tested with the gearbox on a test bench. We also gave the E-Type historically correct 6x15 Curley Hub Competition wheels.
After its complete restoration until March 2024, the E Type was test-driven for 380 kilometres.
This E-Type delivers the highest quality and drives perfectly. A dream car in the 1960s just like today. You will not find a better restored E-Type S1 OTS.
