This car is currently for sale in the DFW area (April 21, 2014). It is equipped with a 1968 4.2 engine from a 2+2 and has triple SU carbs. The original 3.8 is lost to history. If in the future it is represented as a matching numbers car, that would be a misrepresentation. The vehicle currently has a white hard top and is in quite good condition considering that it has never undergone a comprehensive sheet metal restoration. Texas registration has been expired for some time.

Vehicle sold in May 2014 to a buyer in Michigan. Owner who just sold the vehicle recalls that the original 3.8 engine (s/n R4107-9) was replaced with 4.2 (s/n 7E55116-9) in the late 70's or early 80's because the 3.8 had seriously overheated and cracked the block. Believes the original engine was scrapped.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
