On sale on eBay UK for £42,000.00

Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Roadster 1963 LHD for restoration. Selling to fund an outside bonnet lock restoration, this car is very solid and would suit a home restorer looking for something either to finish as a nice driver or an excellent basis for a concours restoration.
The spec is the highly desirable opalescent silver grey with a black interior and was built in September 1963. Originally exported to New York, I purchased the car from California, along with several others, as an unfinished project. The car is largely complete, but sadly in transit a few items were stolen including the carburettors and manifold. Other things the buyer will need to purchase as a minimum include front lights, headlamp glasses, radiator, header tank, radio consol, air cleaner assembly, an exhaust and a new interior. I will make good the carburettors and manifolds with a set for restoration. For the UK buyers, the car is relatively easy to convert to RHD and companies such as Hutsons can provide all the parts.
Body wise this car is very good and I believe still on original inner sills and floors. The back wings are good as is the boot floor and doors. The bonnet needs properly fitting but is in very good condition . Mechanically the car is completely unknown and I would recommend stripping out to check / restore as necessary. The engine does turn.
Properly restored this car is likely to command upward of £150k given the current market and a good home restoration driver £70k+. Having sold a similar car a few months ago with no floors and requiring almost everything for £33k to a German dealer, I fully expect my price considering comparatively how good the body is on this car.
In addition to the Heritage certificate I have the Certificate of Title from the USA and the UK /European Import document showing duty has been paid.
