This car was offered for sale by "Gus in Pennsylvania" in the December '79 issue of Ejag magazine. The ad read:
1964 XKE Convertible No. 879817; good for parts or major restoration project; has bonnet, five wire wheels, engine, transmission, rear end, bumpers, etc. First $1,595 takes it.

1963 JAGUAR E-TYPE 3.8 LITER SERIES 1 ROADSTER
--Primrose with Tan leather interior, Tan carpets and Tan convertible top, Restored, 4-speed manual, Chrome wire wheels, Matching Numbers, Heritage Certificate.
This E-type Roadster is a matching numbers car, formerly part of a private collection here in the USA. According to its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate, the car was delivered new to the U.S. market, sold new by Jaguar Cars New York to J.P. Small also of New York on July 4, 1963 as a 1964 model.
This E-type Roadster was restored by the previous owner in the early 2000's. It was a thorough restoration that included a bare metal repaint, new interior/top, all chrome/brightwork refinished and new wheels and tires. The mechanicals were all rebuilt and a stainless steel exhaust system added. At this time, a new wiring harness was installed, the brake/suspension/chassis components were all rebuilt along with all hydraulics and the fuel system was completely renewed. Also at this time, the cooling system was serviced throughout, detailed properly and an auxiliary fan was supplied and installed.
In its most recent ownership, this E-type has received a full service to to make sure it is ready for its next new owner. Anything and everything needed has been performed to guarantee this E-type is at its optimum. A testament to the restoration work performed is the cars current exceptional condition showing only the slightest aging since restoration with excellent panel/body fitment.
Accompanied by its Heritage Certificate as well as ownership and service history, this E-type is ready for immediate use.
