The 1963 Jaguar E-Type Roadster presented here, an early Series I example, was acquired by the consignor in 2021, with the understanding that it had belonged to a high-ranking Navy serviceman who drove the car in Southern California and during peacetime deployment in Oahu, Hawaii. The Roadster received a ground-up restoration by Dave Ferguson’s team at Images Autobody, who are renowned for restoring Jaguars to concours-winning standards. According to records on file, over $230,000 was spent on the restoration, which included a refinish in its elegant, original cream color over a proper, muted red leather interior in place of the black hides originally installed. Offered with its jack and tool roll, approximately 450 post-restoration miles have been added to further tune the car, and its fresh restoration presents beautifully in all respects.
A true automotive masterpiece, this splendid E-Type offers its next owner a thrilling and rewarding driving experience.
SOLD $148,400
