Mr. Richards purchased the car from the original owner (name unknown) who kept it for a few short months after purchasing it from the dealer. I sold 878962 to a restorer in N.Y. in 1987 or 1988. I have not seen her since. I do not wish to mislead anyone by stating that I saw the car in 2006; I made this posting in 2006. 878962 was my first car, if anyone has information on her I would appreciate finding out how she is.

878962 is or was in the UK .It went through the hands of Richard Smith of RM&J Smith about 20 years ago .I have a very faded copy of the identity certificate from Jaguar.
