Current bid $50,105.00
Reserve not met, 10 bids 9 days left in auction, buy it now price $89,500
Sellers description:
The car is in the Signal Red color and the interior is beige leather. The engine had been changed at some point in it's life. The original engine number was R9735-9 as seen on the commission plate photo. The present engine number is R9553-9 which is only 182 engines between each other, which is pretty close and both were made in the same year. As far as the body is concerned, it appears to have a new bonnet as there are no signs of an accident on it. It is in very nice condition as well as the rest of the body. There is no rust that we can see on the car. We even have been around the car with a magnet to check for filler and couldn't find any indications that there is any. The floors, the inner and outer sills are as if they were brand new. The car starts up right away and drives nicely and could even be driven home.

Car to be at auction 12/16
www.coys.co.uk/cars/1963-jaguar-e-type-series-1-3-8-roadster
Auction description:
ESTIMATE £100,000-£120,000
Auction True Greats 2016
Lot Details
Lot Number 115
Reg. Number UK Registered
Chassis Number 878878
Year 1963
Make Jaguar
Model E-Type Series 1
Supplied new in January 1963 by Jaguar Cars New York to a Mr. E. McKinnis, the car remains in its original Carmen Red, with an immaculate Doeskin beige interior. Described by the vendor to be in excellent condition throughout, this early E-Type Roadster is arguably the most desirable specification and is considered the pinnacle of E-Type motoring.
Having recently been subjected to an extensive and thorough renovation in the UK by a classic Jaguar specialist, the car is provided with a current MOT and is now UK Registered. Included in the cars history file are numerous invoices depicting the works undertaken in the UK.
The car remains true to its original specification, with the exception of the addition of Wilwood brakes, alternator and a negative earth electrical system - all retrofitted for increased usability and all of which can be easily reversed for the purists out there.
