    Car listed as sold at:
    www.fa-automobile.com/detail-vente.php

    Sellers description:
Chassis 878491. Finished in a very elegant Old English White over Cartier hide trim. The owner of this car likes to drive and did some very useful upgrades to it (all reversibles) including modern brakes (main problem on E Types), aluminum radiator and electric fan which allows to drive in traffic jam without overheating. Alternator added in order to avoir battery brake downs and 5 speeds gearbox (way more practical than the original Moss gearbox). Excellent overall condition, engine rebuilt in 2006 with 10.000 km covered since. Very good paintwork, new upholstery, great and well tuned mechanics, soft top needs to be replaced. Available immediately. French papers.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
