Advertised for sale on

www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1962-jaguar-e-type-manual/OAG-AD-20587571/

18 March 2022, asking AUD$330,000. The car is in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Car Number 878459 is cited in advertisement. Seller’s description (edited) follows:

This early matching numbers OTS E-type has been owned by the same owner for over 25 years. It has undergone a thorough and full restoration over this period, and has covered only a marginal mileage since completion.

Originally delivered by Jaguar Cars New York on 29/10/1962, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms the matching numbers.

Since manufacture, the exterior paint has been

changed from Golden Sand to British Racing Green. The car is now presented in RHD configuration with new 6 inch chrome wire wheels and a synchromesh gearbox. The original "Moss" gearbox is included in the sale of the car.

An exhaustive file of receipts and invoices from Jaguar marque specialists and restorers is included.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
