This 1963 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was acquired by the seller in 2000 and subsequently refurbished between 2017 and 2020. Work included a repaint in black, reupholstering the interior, and rebuilding the 3.8-liter inline-six. Equipment includes a four-speed manual gearbox, chrome wire wheels, Wilwood front disc brakes, a black soft top, a black hardtop, and an aftermarket Bluetooth head unit. This XKE roadster is now offered with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, a service log, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in black in 2017 and features a black soft top and a color-matched aftermarket hardtop. Additional exterior details include headlight covers and chrome bumpers and trim.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are mounted with winged knockoffs and wear 205/70 Michelin Defender tires showing 2018 date codes. Wilwood front disc brakes were added during the refurbishment.

The cabin was refreshed in 2017 and features fixed-back bucket seats that have been reupholstered in black vinyl. Additional equipment includes a heater, aluminum trim, and an aftermarket Bluetooth head unit. The seller notes that the radio function does not work as no antenna is installed.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock. Additional instrumentation is located in the center stack and includes gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The numbers-matching 3.8L inline-six was rebuilt in August 2020. Additional service performed at that time included rebuilding the carburetors and distributor, replacing the spark plugs and wires, and installing a high-torque starter. The seller notes that the exhaust manifold and several other components are in need of cosmetic refinishing.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A replacement exhaust system was fitted during the refurbishment.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors and powertrain numbers as well as initial delivery to San Francisco, California.
