Sellers description:
Beautiful 1963 OTS Jaguar E Type Series 1 which has undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration about five years ago. Not only were cosmetics addressed but all mechanicals were refurbished also. This iconic car screams quality workmanship throughout and runs very smoothly down the road. For the enthusiast, I do not need to go into the historical significance of the E Type but I will give some of the details of this car which was provided by the Jaguar Damlier Heritage Trust. The car was built September 06, 1962 and shipped November 27, 1962 to its first Owner at the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Division, Camp Hansen Okinawa, Japan. The car was shipped with Engine Number R7436-9, Gearbox Number EB6630JS, both of which are still in the car today. During the restoration the original exterior color was changed from Black to White as you can see in the photoghraphs. Included with the sale are papers and photographs from the restoration process and title documentation back to 1988. We do have the original Owners name as part of the trust certificate.
The car has been driven regularly and has performed wonderfully in town and the mountains. I cannot verify the actual mileage but I can guess based on the available information; the title from 1988 indicates 90,000 miles so it would be reasonable to assume 135,000 miles based on the insturment gauges in the car. Please feel free to call 970.396.1587 to discuss details pertaining to this fine automobile. It includes a fitted cover, Owner Manual and complete tool kit as seen in the picture of the trunk. The top is just as nice as the rest of the car, the car is located in Colorado.
