This car was mentioned in the Transmission section of the 7/89 issue of Ejag magazine. The owner was seeking year of mfg. info. I wonder if the "67 was a typo, this car was likely a '62 and I have entered it as a '62 even though it was not stated so by the owner. The text was as follows:

"Bruce Shorey, Maine: There has been some confusion as to the year of my XKE roadster. I believe it is a '67, but was hoping that you may know exactly if I gave you the numbers: Engine R7339-9; Chassis 878043; Body 4580. I would appreciate any help."

Hi,
This car now is in Portugal, come from Usa in 2003. I´m trying to paint it on the original colour. The indication I have is Mist grey, but I can not found a colour code/nr.
Can you help me ? Thanks

I just checked and the year mentioned on title is 1963.
The first registration is dated 1963.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
