First owner was Efrem Zimbalist Jr, the actor. Second owner, Jack Haltwick III, purchased the car in September 1964 and kept it until his death. The car was laid up in storage in October 1968 and did not see the light of day until December 2022 when it was inspected by Jay Leno on behalf of Dan Mooney. The car is currently being serviced in the Team CJ Works in Austin. It is the most original E Type we have ever seen and we are going to keep it as original as possible.

Thanks Paul! Yes, we are very excited about this car! It has such an interesting back story. A friend and (Lamborghini) mentor of mine, Jeff Stephan, used to live opposite Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and regularly saw the actor driving the car during the first couple of years of its life. It's always very cool to have a full history on any classic car, and incredibly rare to have eye witness recollections from when the car was new.

Hello. This Jaguar XKE used to belong to my Uncle, Jack Holtwick. I remember standing over this car when it had boxes and a bunch of other crap on it in his garage in Canoga Park. May I ask who sold it to you? His son, Jack Holtwick IV died in 2022, and I spoke with him often before he died about his father's collection. I believe he had a garage space right next to Jay Leno, but I cannot confirm that. It looks like this car has found a good home. I, myself, am a certified mechanic, and have always been fascinated with the classics.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
