I just purchased this car from the original ownwers, Mr Gene Savelkoul and his wife Mary Savelkoul.
The car is all original except for one repaint in the mid 60's. It's a solid car, and running, but it needs some TLC so I'm having the entire care gone through from head to toe to get everything 100% functional. Then my plan is to drive it and enjoy it, and show it as is---faded paint, dents, scratches, and lots of pitina in the interior. I also own a 100 pt 61 E-Type Roadster that I use for show and driving on sunny days.

I recently (December 3, 2012) purchased this vehicle from the original owner. It was 95% original. The only thing done to it was an overspray in the late 60's or early 70's; every thing else is untouched. I'm at the tail end of doing a complete electrical/mechanical restoration but plan to leave the cosmetics alone to keep the look of an old Jag. We didn't need to rebuild the engine;its still strong but we rebuilt or replaced everything else - radiator, exhaust, heater motor, wiper motor, carbs, adjusted the valves, new tires, U-joints, dropped the rear end, cleaned and undercoated the bottom and wheel wells, checked all electricals, new window in top, put a tonneau cover on it, etc. etc. In two weeks (2/15/13) it will be 110% functional and ready to enjoy.
