Sellers comment:
Jaguar E Type Series 1 3.8 Litre Roadster, Chassis No 877141 built April 1962. The car is LHD and was imported into the UK last year. The car was originally Carmen Red and all the numbers match, which can be confirmed from the Heritage Certificate which comes with the car. The shell needs full restoration: the floors and sills have been removed although the bulkhead and upper body tub are all sound. The doors are in excellent condition and have been re-fitted to the shell ensuring that the gaps are even. The car has been fitted to a trailer chassis to make it easy to move around and to maintain the shell’s rigidity whilst the work is carried out. Anyone who has carried out this type of work will be aware that the floor panels and sills are all readily available. The bonnet has been stripped back and loosely reassembled. The centre panel and wings and ducts etc are all very good.
The car is completely stripped so this is the ideal time to convert it to RHD if you are a UK buyer. I can supply separately the parts for conversion (dash panels, steering rack etc.)
The car comes with all the major parts and to the best of my knowledge it is complete, though there may be some small items missing. The engine and gearbox are still together as a complete unit and is fitted to a trolley so they are easy to move. The carbs and inlet manifold are complete. The hood frame, an item so often missing, is with this car. The engine frames, picture frame (bearing the correct numbers for this car) and bonnet hanging frame all look straight. The front suspension, calipers and discs have all been refurbished (see photo) and the seats have been recovered in new green leather. The interior was originally black but the previous owner planned to change the colour scheme. It should be relatively easy to re-dye the seats at minimal cost. Many smaller items have been blasted or plated and the majority of other items which normally rust, such as the heater box and air cleaner bin are in very good condition. This is not the usual basket case where you end up replacing all the parts – just about everything that comes with the car should be useable once re-conditioned. The chrome is all there and is good enough for anything other than a concours restoration.
The car comes with Heritage Certificate, the Customs entry acceptance note, which confirms that all EU Import Taxes have been paid and the original US Title showing that the vehicle was last registered in Nebraska. There is also a letter from HM Customs and Exercise confirming that as soon as the car is rebuilt the C&E 386 will be issued so that the car can be registered in the UK or elsewhere. I also have the original chasis plate.

The car was originally Carmen Red and all numbers match, which can be confirmed from the Heritage Certificate which comes with the car. The shell has been fully restored to an excellent standard over the last 2 years with £1000’s spent on new floors, sills, boot floor, wings etc and painted to a high standard.
The car comes with all the major parts and to the best of my knowledge it is complete, though there may be some small minor items missing that I will do my best to make up. The engine and gearbox are still together as a complete unit and is fitted to a trolley so they are easy to move. I was verbally told they were good but on a car of this quality I would be having both the engine and gearbox re-furbished. The carbs and inlet manifold are complete. The hood frame, an item so often missing, is with this car. The engine frames, picture frame (bearing the correct numbers for this car) and bonnet-hanging frame are all straight. The front suspension, calipers and discs have all been refurbished (see photos) and a full rebuild on the rear axle. The interior was originally black but the previous owner planned to change the colour scheme and the seats have been recovered in new green leather but thay can easily be re-dyed black at minimal cost. Many smaller items have been blasted or plated and the majority of other items which normally rust, such as the heater box and air cleaner bin are in very good condition.
All the hard work has been done on this car and it will not take the mildly talented enthusiast long to finish this car. I would anticipate this to be a £35k + car on completion.

www.pyritz-classics.de/fahrzeuge/jaguar-e-type-serie-1-cab/
Sellers description:
Jaguar E Type Series 1 Cab.
Year 1962
Fahrgest. number. 877141
An early Jaguar E Type Series 1 with the 3.8 Litre engine.
As evidenced by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate the vehicle was produced in April 1962, delivered on the Jaguar subsidiary in New York.
Chassis, engine and body numbers correspond to the delivery.
The vehicle is fully in 2007, "nut and bolt" restored. An extensive photo documentation is available, the course also includes the refurbished engine.
The transmission have been improved by installing a Getrag 5-speed unit, the installation of an alternator, a 3-piston caliper brake system front of the company. Cooper Craft, chrome wire wheels with whitewall tires 205/70/15, an auxiliary electric fan and an enlarged aluminum radiator.
Is The dashboard crafted in high quality Burr walnut. The Smiths instruments chromumrandet.
The vehicle has run a few thousand kilometers to the restoration and is located in an absolutely new condition.
Certainly it is one of the most attractive vehicles on the market.
