Ebay item 12/20/14
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-E-type-1962-Roadster-Perfect-Restoration-/271696202307
Classified Ad price: £45,000.
Sellers description:
This particular iconic car was last year released from its owner's estate in Kentucky USA back to the United Kingdom where it has aroused special interest from notable people within the industry. Excitement comes from the list of early features which the exclusive club of rare early E types enjoys, these namely being: aluminium dash, toggle switches, handmade interior, bucket seats, and an early 3.8 litre engine along with the original radio still fitted in the car. History Dispatched from the Jaguar Coventry factory to New York on , the car started life as a luxury sports car with the reputation of being capable of reaching 150mph. Though the early years of this cars history are vague, its mechanical condition indicates a well-cared for vehicle with regular maintenance by its long standing previous owner. Dry stored in Kentucky since 1995 when it was last road legal in its factory specification, until a Jaguar enthusiast discovered how solid the vehicle is and decided to take it on as light restoration project so some of the restoration work has been completed. Due to lack of money the enthusiast screwed the car back together to make it complete and reluctantly sold it last year. This historically significant car comes complete with its all-important US title, and provides an excellent platform for a full restoration
