Finished in Salmon Metallic with Cream upholstery, this left-hand drive 'Flat Floor' Roadster was repatriated in June 1998, since when its bodywork, engine and running gear are understood to have benefited from restoration, for which there are apparently lots of receipts. The cooling system has been overhauled and the car fitted with a Kenlowe fan, while coil-over gas dampers have been installed all round. 'GSL 739' is MOT'd into July 2013.

1961 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Roadster Chassis number: 876345 Manufactured December 1961 and originally supplied and registered by Jaguar Cars in New York this car was registered E TYPE 1, this car had only two owners in the US before it was found in Florida in 1998 in a run down state and hand painted in black. The car was then shipped back to the UK where it was dismantled and rebuilt and the colour changed back to it s original bronze with tan leather, black hood and wire wheels. There are receipts for all this work and further parts including new brightwork, steering rack and many service items. This Flat Floor E-Type GSL 739 has since had many upgrades to further improve the drive. This car is fitted with Coopercraft 4 pot brakes, oversized fabricated aluminium radiator with Kenlowe fan, Coil over Gaz shocks and a stainless steel exhaust. The car drives fantastically, engine is quiet on idle yet makes all the right noises and feels very strong. There is a comprehensive file of receipts (and some photo of the paint work) for the restoration work and a list of the expenditure, including the bill of sale from the US and shipping correspondence. Original Jaguar handbook and sleeve is also included. MOT s and service invoices are also in the file. It should be noted that this car had only two owners in the US, one owner who bought the car in from the US and put it back on the road until it changed hands in 2012. This low owner example would benefit from being painted again but is a fantastic driving car and can be enjoyed as is. The hood and interior are both in very good condition.  , petrol , classic vehicle
