It gives us great pleasure to introduce this stunning, 1962 Jaguar E-Type Roadster chassis number 876296. This is an early production e-type and it has the desirable flat floor and welded louvers; production date of December 5, 1961. The car has undergone a complete, no expense spared, nut and bolt, mechanical and cosmetic restoration spanning 5 years. Every part was removed, disassembled, and painstakingly cleaned, or painted, or polished, or plated and restored accordingly. The original numbers matching engine was completely rebuilt using the best parts and components available by the masterful hands of RP Mack Motorsports. The original Moss 4-speed numbers matching transmission, which is included with the sale, was replaced with a 5 speed gearbox to increase drivability, the brakes were upgraded will Wilwood calipers and rotors, and the wheels upgraded with new Dayton wires, original wheels and tires can go with the sale. The car is finished in its original color combination: Opalescent Silver Grey over Dark Blue interior. The car retains all of its original sheet metal with the exception of the trunk skin, original is available with the sale, and is precisely finished better than factory standards. The Opalescent Silver Grey paint is outstanding, the engine and engine bay is a piece of Jewelry and takes your breath away when you open bonnet, and the interior is excellent in all areas. Other highlights include custom fabricated headers and upgraded cooling system.
Mechanically, this 1962 Jaguar E-type OTS is spot on. The engine roars to life and pulls strong in every gear, the 5 speed synchromesh gearbox shifts flawlessly, the fully restored suspension has outstanding feel and connects the car and driver, and the Wilwood brakes stop straight and true. Drive this Jag with confidence. 546 miles have been put on this car since the restoration, it is fully sorted and hands down, one of the best driving E-types that we have ever been involved with. The entire presentation of this 1962 Jaguar E-Type OTS Roadster is magnificent. The car is stunning and crisp and will demand attention at any event or venue. The early 3.8 liter, Series I Jaguars are the definitive example of the model, and the earliest cars with welded louvers and flat floors are the most desireable. A car of this quality coupled with mechanical fitness does not come for sale very often. It is turn key and ready for immediate use whether it is a road rally or to contend at any JCNA event.
Documentation includes: Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, all restoration plans, drawings, receipts etc. as well as photo book documenting the restoration process. Serious offers considered.

Sellers description:
The car in this eBay auction has had a no expense spared restoration. This 1962 E-type roadster flat floor with welded louvers was built 12/5/1961. The car has a matching engine, transmission and rear end. It should be noted that the original Moss 4-speed gear box that goes with the car has been removed and packaged and saved, while a new 5 speed gear box has been installed for improved for acceleration and high speed touring (with the engine doing low RPM's for comfort of both the engine and the driver).
The following is a description from the owner about the car:
1962 E-type roadster, build 12/5/1961.
Flat floor, welded louver, inside bonnet latch.
All numbers match (car, engine, transmission...) and I have the Heritage certificate attesting to same.
The restoration was completed in summer 2015. The car was solid prior to restoration.
It was a no-expense spared restoration, that took 3 years, at a total investment of approximately $200,000.00.
The car has original sheet metal, with the exception of the trunk lid sheet steel - it had corroded around the lip so we replaced the sheet on the original trunk lid frame.
The paint is Opalescent Silver-Grey, Glasurit color matched to original,
Interior is dark blue, all coming from BAS interiors (the best, most original stuff...). BAS Jaguar Interiors are the only interiors serious Jaguar restorers will accept for their cars. BAS were the first company in the world to offer replacement trim for Jaguars
The convertible top is also dark blue (original color was black), on all original frame mechanism, painstakingly restored.
Even the seat frames, etc. are original.
The gaps are excellent, paint and bodywork are excellent, there are weld dimples where there are supposed to be, etc. Even the lower "mouth" in front is original sheet metal.
The vast majority of the bright work is original, re-chromed, with a few exceptions like front bumper over riders and a couple other bits and pieces.
Headlight lenses are original, etc.
Has 4 original chrome wire wheels, but new Dayton 6" wires are on the car.
Has upgraded electrical, brakes (Wilwood), cooling and stainless steel exhaust header.
Also 5 speed transmission installed. In all cases, I have the original parts that go with the car (including 4 speed moss gearbox, radiator, brakes etc...).
Toolkit with proper tools that I assembled, and it's the rarer round toolbox that fits in the spare wheel.
I believe that everything is either original, or of the proper vintage - the steering wheel is correct, gauges correct, all interior "raised dot pattern" aluminum is "new" from England (original stock material), and on and on. No radio in the car, but I have what I believe is the original radio in the spare parts stockpile.
It drives wonderfully, and has about 800 miles on the clock since the restoration.
