A solid all numbers match very original car to be restored by 'E' Type UK.

To put the records straight-This car was built on 27 October 1961 not 1962.

I would love to know what the actual body tag in the trunk of this car says. My car (875926) says R2174 for the body number on the data plate but the trunk tag says R2172....which is what this car states is its body number. A factory record error I suspect. Both cars built the same day...maybe after lunch at the pub! Mine registered as a 62 but really a 61 also.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
