In about 1984 or 1985 I went to see a smilar car for sale in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Ontario. If I recall correctly, it had 43,000 miles on it and was in the hands of the second owner who lived on the same street as the original owner, so the entire history of the car was known. I believe the original owner was the London Life branch manager for the area.
Like an idiot, I passed on the car and it was sold to a "kid" who took it with him back up north to (I think) North Bay. The young man only kept the car for a year or two before selling it to a local body shop owner. He only kept the car for a year or two before selling it on.
The car was exceptionally original and unmolested when I saw it in Kitchener.
Is this the same car?
Thanks,

Daniel Thompson

Last night I found some notes I took at the time. It is the same car.

If you ever decide to part with it, let me know. I would be interested.

Thanks,

This car was still in North Bay when transferred in 2006. It was shown at Bronte, Ontario Car Show 2006 and may attend Toronto and Troy, Michigan JCNA car shows in 2007.

Once again, when you are ready to let this car go...

I won't be denied the chance to buy it twice!

Hi: I am in Sudbury, Ontario. Do you still own this E-Type? I have a 1961 E-type (#875343) waiting restoration.
I have owned it since 1966. I would like to see you car some time if possible. Thanks, Ray

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
