I bought this car in 1971 for $550.00, and parked it in my folks garage in Coronado.. The car was moved several times about Coronado, but remained basically untouched and undriven while it and my life took different paths. I am now restoring the car, Buying this car, and holding on to it thru thick and thin is one of the few things I did right in my early adult years...

I have owned this car since 1972, It has been a 30 plus years restoration project. Owning this car led to a career in Jaguar restoration, Thom and I now live and work in central CA, at XK's Unlimited. I was a customer of XK's for over 12 years before becoming their Restoration Manager. The car is now complete, and a 99 point plus show winner.

Dave & Thom,
Hope the car is treating you well, I was wondering with a late 61 build what radiator do you feel is correct for the car? Corrugated sides or smooth? I think the judges guide says all 3.8 require corrugated, but I am sure that cant be the case...

Thanks for your help!
