Sold at Cecil Cars, France
History of this Jaguar Type E flatfloor:
Sold new on November 29, 1961 by the importer David Delecroix in Paris to Monsieur Godefroy. It changed hands in 1969 to remain in the hands of the 2nd and last owner until today.
This Jaguar Type E is the 48th sold in France out of 69!
Bodywork:
Still in its original color "Opalescente Dark Blue", the bodywork is very healthy, without corrosion and in excellent condition. Door and hood days are excellent. The Eiffel structure is good as well as the underbody.
Upholstery:
It still has its original beige upholstery with a beautiful patina. The carpets and the hood are new.
Engine :
Its 3.8L engine works perfectly. Regularly serviced, it has excellent oil pressure. Matching number, its cylinder head is still in the original "pumpking" orange paint.
Gearbox :
Moss gearbox, it is in excellent working order, the gears shift well.
Undercarriages:
The rear axle is stable, very good handling. The behavior of the chassis is perfect. No play or noise is noted. The suspension is perfect.
Braking behavior:
Braking is perfect and in a straight line thanks to its disc brakes.
