This car was the second OTS E-Type to be delivered to Belgium. The first owner was Mr. C. Lambert from Brussels in November 1961.

The car was then sold to the Netherlands in june 1962 and still carries the original Dutch registration from July 10, 1962. This probably makes it one of the oldest orginal Dutch registered OTS E-Types.

The car has been in our family ownership since 1998. I am still looking into the full history of the car but the previous owner was mr. Van Doorne, owner of DAF trucks. The car has had a chequered history and during restauration some racing modifications came out. The car has had three colours: Carmen Red and Old English White, prior to the current British Racing Green.

The car was restored in 2005 to the current near concours standard. While it is highly original in most respects there are some minor, sensible upgrades in the braking and cooling system since we use the car for cross continental trips.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
