Following is an edited and summarised description taken from the carsales.com.au advertisement referred to above:
Car arrived in Australia in 2014. Restored to exceptionally high standard over 7 years. Over $300k spent on restoration plus car cost. Only just completed 300 miles of shakedown since restoration completed. Very rare colour combination of opalescent bronze, old English red interior and French grey soft top. Can’t find another OTS in this configuration.
All early car identifiers complete including flat floors, welded bonnet louvres and straight bulkhead behind seats. Non matching engine # but very close E-Type 3.8 engine number to original. The restoration was painstaking and comprehensive with obsessive attention to detail. Over 2000 photos of restoration including body work and assembly are included. Heritage certificate supplied.

Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au 14 April 2023 asking AU$299,950. Car is in Brisbane. Seller’s description (edited) follows:
This is a rare and desirable flat floor example with welded bonnet louvres. Heritage Certificate notes first owner as DJ Palombo. Subsequent to Palombo’s ownership the documented history of the car continues from the mid-1990’s when it was purchased by John DeLong of Pennsylvania who had intended to part it out. As a result the engine and gearbox and a few other parts were sold over the years. In the early 2000’s DeLong decided to store the car. The current owner knew about the car and in 2008 tried to purchase it. In 2014 DeLong agreed to sell the car with a period correct engine. The current owner has an import approval for the car dated the 15th December 2014. In 2015 the current owner started restoration, deciding to keep the car original and not convert it to right hand drive. Restoration was completed in 2020.
