Doubtless very early car, but non matching engine and wrong carbs and carb manifold. Non welded louver bonnet as well as bubbles at rocker panel..... car for full restoration.

This seller is a well know dodgy classic car (mainly jaguar XKE) seller. A prime example of this is his absolutely hilarious statement "matching numbers....except engine". You literally couldn't make it up. Kurt Tanner is one man who you should never buy a car from

Hi James Hull,
I always advertise my cars with at least 60 pictures and a good description. I strive to keep my buyers happy with their purchases, but some people make themselves impossible to please.
The last time I checked, an E-type data plate had 4 numbers stamped on it. 3 out of 4 of mine match. I have the original gearbox, body tag, and picture frame stamping. It's an early car. So yes, it would be an accurate statement on my description above, as hilarious to you it may seem...

Your not helping yourself Kurt by saying "3 out of 4 match", that's not helping your case. It's a non matching number car. I have also dealt with you in the last year and can 100% agree with Mr Hull's statement

Please try to keep comments to facts about the car. Disparaging buyers or sellers has nothing to do with the car's history and 10 years from now will simply appear as petty. Actually Kurt has been better known for high quality Healey restorations not E-types so do your own research.
