In June of 1976 875254 was located in California. At that time the car reportedly had its body number plate mounted on the firewall, the single thick trunk--lid hinges (although it was suspected that these may have been replacements), the center trunk- water drain hole, welded-in backup light nacelle, and flat floors. The car was painted green at that time. The windshield wiper motor was dated "2/61 " Many parts were missing from the car, and the owner was considering installing a Ford 289 engine and a fiberglass hood. In January of 1982, the car was offered for sale in Hemmings Motor News from Texas, and was claimed to be a rust-free California car that had been stored 20 years.

This car was mentioned in the 7/76 edition of Ejag magazine. Having just purchased it the new onwer Jim Jensen of California, USA commented that the car was completely disassembled and he had purchased the car for parts but now intended to restore it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
