875048 was possibly advertised in the September 1989 Hemmings Motor News. In 1989 it was reported to be located in Georgia, to have unrusted bodywork, and to still retain its original aluminium radiator. It was fitted with the early 'thin" trunklid hinges.

was owned by a military man in his 60's or 70's. the car was original but had
extensive rust through all of the floor of the car and was covered up by sheet

metal it was at least a gallon of asphalt also a few gallon of sand behind the outer-
sill. The car olso had a demage on the left side under the door and the "normal" demage on the front under panel front bonnet with lots of plastic padding, after this
"restorig" I belive the car was painted yellow, was it yellow when You saw it?
Original color was Opalescent Dark Blue and will be! Got the color code from:
"Classicjaguar"! The only missing original part I could see was the very early Fuel- Pump "Lucas 2FP 78388 B" also this "Classicjaguar" helped me to find!
The car was first sold from New York to a Mr. Whitehead in Baltimore, after that it was
owened (09-06-78) by a Mr.R.D.Rogers in Bristol TN. I also konw that a gentleman,
Mr. James Strickland (Georgia) owend the car back in late 1980 and that he sold it
to Mr. Lynn (2003) I own the car from september 2004 bying it from "Mr. Doc" who
helped Mr. Lynn to sell it! The car is now undergoing a 100% "original" restoring in
Sweden, from new Zinc on original bolts, nuts etc.. I will hve some photos to the
Gallery later! Have a look at the left photo with boddy no. the bracket below was
original pop rivited on this early car, have a friend owning #875106 there it was wellded into the firewall!
I did not know that this #875048 had been for sale in Canada back in 1989, do You
know the name of the owner (Military man)? Thankfull if You have any more info.!
