875003 was the last of the four cars shipped to the New York Show, where it was displayed on the Jaguar stand. Later, in 1963, it was sold by Jaguar as a demonstrator. It then had several owners, and was reportedly advertised for sale in the April 1987 E-Jag News. In the late eighties or early nineties, it was located by its current owner on a farm in the central region of Washington state. Some believe this car is the only one of the four New York Auto Show cars still in existence. It is now located in California, in the hands of a collector of early E-types. It is reported to have a left mounted backup light, as was typical of a few early cars. Also typical of some early cars, it is reported to have no channel-guides for the leading edge of the side windows.
Dispatched February 28, 1961.

I would like to contact the current owner of this car. I have a piece that belongs with it.

Thank you.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
