Car is for sale by a private owner near me. Looked at it and it is a right hand drive car that the current owner bought in Scotland. He had the car since the mid to late seventies. Before shipping the car back to the states it spent some time in Enland where he says it had "show" chrome done as well as a paint job. Unfortunately I could find anywhere on the car that I could easily get to where i could chekc the original color of the car. I couldn't get the center dash panel down to peer behind there and it was getting late here this evening so I didn't pull the spare out either. The car has a 10 foot paint job that looks nice from 10 feet away. It needs EVERY piece of rubber replaced on the car. There are quite a few non-original minor bits to the car and it is also difficult to tell the extent of the body work that was done to the car under it's current paint job. Driver's door does not open cleanly (sticks) but does seem to close OK. Car starts ad runs fine but I was not able to drive the car. Currently the owner is asking $35,000.00 USD but I feel that is quite a bit considering it's condition. It's only saving grace is that it is an original right hand drive car and it "seems" to be an OK driver. The current owner has not driven it much in the last few years and is pretty unclear as to recent maintenance.
